JAMB: ACCOUNTING COMBINATION.

JAMB was established in 1978 by the Federal Military Government of Nigeria as a means of regulating the admission process into tertiary institutions in the country. The establishment of JAMB was aimed at addressing the problem of multiple admissions and the lack of a centralized admission system in the. 

 

WHO INTRODUCED JAMB TO NIGERIA?

The legal instrument establishing the Board was however promulgated by the act (no. 2 of 1978) of the Federal Military Government on 13th February, 1978country.

 

WHEN DID THEY START JAMB IN NIGERIA?

Due to the growing number of universities in Nigeria's sprawling higher education system, this practice became problematic, and, in 1978, the Nigerian government established the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to oversee a centralized admissions test called the Unified Tertiary Matriculation.

 

WHEN DID JAMB START USING CBT?

On Monday, March 9, 2015, the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) imprinted a landmark in its 37-year history by beginning the first total Computer-Based Test (CBT). Though CBT was introduced in 2013, it was not made compulsory.

 

WHY DOING JAMB?

Established in 1978, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the governmental agency saddled with the responsibility of making sure that they conduct an examination to check for suitable candidates that would be matriculated into the tertiary institutions in the country.

 

WHY JAMB CAPS?

With JAMB CAPS,you will be able to know when you have been admitted or not by the school you choose in Jamb, you can also reject the admission or accept it, if it is the course or school you wanted to study in.

 

JAMB COMBINATION FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE?

To study Accounting you need to sit for four (4) subjects in JAMB which are Economics, Use of English, Mathematics and any other Social Science subject. and have at least credits (C6) in your Five (5) core courses which includes: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Government and Commerce.
